Steamed Prawn with Garlic



Ingredients: 

10 pieces prawn can be headless (cut the back and clean the dirt)
250gr vermicelli (soaked in a hot water until it soft)
5 cloves garlic (crushed and minced then fried until golden color)
chopped spring onion or coriander for dressing
Soy sauce

How:

Rinse vermicelli and drained, put it on a steamer plate, filled the back of the prawn with fried garlic and arrange it on top of the vermicelli. Reheat the steamer until water is boiled then steam  the prawn for 5-7 minutes or until the prawn just cook. Garnish with spring onion or coriander, sprinkle with soy sauce. 


Tips: Do not let prawn become over cook because its gonna make the texture of the prawn become harder

Steamed Egg

                                                       

Steamed egg is one of easiest dish people can make. It's very delicious and good for children or elderly who have difficulties in eating. It's soft texture makes it easy to swallow. Lets make it together!                  

Ingredients:

4 eggs
400 ml chicken broth (soup)
Diced spring onion
2 tbls Soya sauce
3 tbls Hot oil

How to make:

Crack four eggs in a steamer bowl and mix it with the chicken broth, then cover it with a plastic wrap. (see pictures)


Now put it in a steamer and steam it for about 20-25 minutes. You don't have to reheat the steamer first. 
After its cooked sprinkle with diced spring onion.
Then reheat 3 tbls oil in a pan and after its hot pour it onto the steamed egg, then pour 2 tblsp of soy sauce.


Now your steamed egg is ready to eat with rice or just eat it alone like that.

PS: You can change the chicken broth or soup with pork soup or instant chicken soup from powder. Make sure the soup is clear and clean. What I did was filter the soup to make sure its clean.
You can't use uncooked soup, if you use instant chicken soup from powder boil it first and cool it down to avoid bubbly texture from the egg

Rice Congee / Bubur


Congee or porridge is a delicious food which is very easy to make and very healthy for the body. Normally when someone is sick we will normally offer congee for it is very smooth and healthy and easy to digest. But congee is a delicious food not only for a sick person. Here are very simple congee recipe you can make it at home.

Ingredients:

1 cup of rice
3 liters of water
3 slices of ginger
Pork/chicken meat
Salt 1 tbls

How to make?

Wash the rice and put it in a big pot and add the 3 liters of waters, add the meat and ginger and salt together. If you use chicken meat you might want to clean the fat before putting it together with the other stuffs. If you use pork meat you can just put the whole meat? cutting it into small pieces is an option.
Boil them until it cooked become very soft like in the picture.
You need to watch over your fire. At first let it boil and after it boiling lower the fire and don't let the water spill out.

If the congee is too thick you may add more water into it. I normally boil them for about 1,5 hours.

Chicken Balls Stuffed Cheese



Ingredients 1: 

500g  ground chicken meat
Celery leaves chops smalls
1 onion chops smalls
5 tbs corn flour
2 tbs salt
2 tbs sugar
1 tbs olive oil
Little bit of white wine
2 tbs soya sauce
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tbs mixed herbs

Ingredients 2:

Cheese for filling
1 egg, beat
Bread crumbs


How to make:

 
Mix ingredients 1 very well, then make a small ball and fill it with cheese, make all of them. 
Beat the egg and deep the chicken balls one by one into the egg and then deep it in the bread crumbs.






Deep fried until yellow golden color.



Your tasty chicken balls is ready to serve. You may deep it in the ketchup or mayonnaise.

Stuffed Paprika



Paprika or pepper which has few colors are very delicious and we can even eat them raw, this recipe has no cheese or butter and is totally very easy and yummy. Lets try!

Ingredients:

Paprika, green, yellow, red
Carrot cube
Onion cube
Pork minced meat
Soya sauce
Sugar
pepper powder
Sesame oil
Corn starch/maizena
Cooking wine

How to prepare:

 


Mix carrot, onion, and pork meat in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients not including the peppers. Mix them well.
Cut top of the peppers and remove the seeds and make it like a cup with the lid, stuff the mixture into it full.
   

 
Then preheat the oven for 10 minutes and cook it for about 20 minutes without the top of the peppers,
Serve it hot. 


This is my first time making this thing, and I learn that if you like to eat raw paprika you don't have to put the top into the oven because 20 minutes is long enough to make it over cook. Oh that is potato next to them, very easy I cut the potato  like that and mix it with salt and pepper powder, some herbs, olive oil and paprika powder and then stuff them into the oven. Very simple and fulfilling nice less costly dinner with my husband at home. 
Also you can change the meat to chicken meat or beef if you don't eat pork.


I have failed so many times in cooking, burning and cutting my own hands is not a new thing for me, but through these experience I'm not afraid or ashamed anymore to use my hands in the kitchen. 
kitchen is the most dangerous and yet the most delicious place in the world.

Home Made Fried Rice


Ingredients:

1 bowl of cooked rice
Half tomato cut cube
1 small carrot cut cube
Onion cut cube
Minced chicken/pork meat
Spring onion cut small
Garlic minced
Ginger minced
2 egg
Soya sauce
Pepper powder
Cooking oil
How to make?

First fry one egg sunshine half cook/cooked according to preference, set it aside for decoration later.

Scrumble another egg and set it aside. Fry garlic and ginger until its smells and add minced meat stir, add onion, carrot, and tomato,  soya sauce, pepper powder and stir them well and let it be for around 3-5 minutes. Add rice and stir them again and add scrumble egg and stir them again until the rice and everything combine together and cook, add spring onion at the end and serve it with sunshine egg.

PS: You can use other ingredients you have in your kitchen such as corn, green peace, string bean, any kind you have to mix with the rice.
Dare to try because  you don't know something until you try it yourself.

How To Make BBQ Honey Chicken Wings In A Simple Way



Ingredients:

Chicken wings 10 pieces
Garlic 3 pieces, cut it thin slices
Soya sauce 4 tbs
Honey


How to prepare?

Mix slices garlic in a big container/bowl with chicken wings, pour soya sauce into it and marinade it for at least 2 hours. You can put it in the fridge or room temperature, you can also marinade it for a whole night or day in the fridge.

How to cook?

You can either fry it in a frying pan or grill it or use oven.

Fry:
Fry chicken wings (you don't have to put the garlic, fry only the chicken wings because the garlic is already absorbed in the chicken wings and it will make it ugly if you fry it because it will get burn) in a frying pan, make sure its cook both side to yellow golden color and then take it out and put it in a plate and brush with honey while its hot. Now your chicken wings is ready to serve.

Oven:

Pre heat the oven for 10 minutes in 200°c temperature. Put the chicken wings in for 20 minutes and then take it out and brush with honey both side, put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes and your chicken wings is ready to eat.

PS: I'm not really sure with the timing in the oven because some chicken wings are bigger or smaller is up to you which type you buy, I always watch it when I cook my chicken wings in the oven but normally it takes around 20-30 minutes.
You can also use chicken drumstick instead of chicken wings.

Griller is just like how you do bbq on the beach or in the mountain or in your back yard, put the chicken wings on the griller until it cook both side you need to turn it both side and after it cooked brush with honey, grill it for another five minutes if you like or you don't have to.


PS: I use fork to make some holes in the chicken wings to make the soya sauce gets into the chicken wings and it taste great. The soya sauce you may add or reduce according to your taste if you like tasty or less tasty. This is my home made chicken wings so I don't really calculate how much amount of soya sauce I'm using.
