Rice Congee / Bubur


Congee or porridge is a delicious food which is very easy to make and very healthy for the body. Normally when someone is sick we will normally offer congee for it is very smooth and healthy and easy to digest. But congee is a delicious food not only for a sick person. Here are very simple congee recipe you can make it at home.

Ingredients:

1 cup of rice
3 liters of water
3 slices of ginger
Pork/chicken meat
Salt 1 tbls

How to make?

Wash the rice and put it in a big pot and add the 3 liters of waters, add the meat and ginger and salt together. If you use chicken meat you might want to clean the fat before putting it together with the other stuffs. If you use pork meat you can just put the whole meat? cutting it into small pieces is an option.
Boil them until it cooked become very soft like in the picture.
You need to watch over your fire. At first let it boil and after it boiling lower the fire and don't let the water spill out.

If the congee is too thick you may add more water into it. I normally boil them for about 1,5 hours.
